David focuses on managing individual client relationships, overseeing the firm's investment strategy and driving the firm's 401(k) offering.
Experience
David joined Gold Medal Waters after a 23-year career as CFO of four prestigious independent schools in Massachusetts, Colorado, New York, and Rhode Island. He managed their endowments, ranging from $12 to $40 million and developed individual investment policies for each school. David developed and/or refined the 403(b), 401(k), and 457(b) retirement plans for these institutions, guided employees and CEOs on their retirement and investment strategies, as well as development of CEO compensation packages. Additionally, David developed vehicles for giving to these non-profit institutions through pooled income funds (PIF), charitable remainder annuity trusts (CRAT), and charitable remainder trusts (CRT), acting as fiduciary and manager of the trusts.
David received his BS in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania and completed his MBA at Northeastern University in Massachusetts. He holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst® and the Certified Private Wealth Advisor® certifications, administered by Investment Management Consultants Association® and taught in conjunction with The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania (CIMA®), and The University of Chicago Booth School of Business (CPWA®). David currently volunteers for the Boulder Community Foundation, Friends of the Treatment Courts, is on the Buildings & Grounds Committee at Alexander Dawson School in Lafayette, and is an advocate for the mentally challenged. He is a semi-retired lacrosse player and a 26-year coaching veteran who holds the US Lacrosse Level 2 Coaching Certificate. He is currently on the coaching staff at Alexander Dawson School.
He spends his personal time following his children’s high school and college athletic careers, and staying active with his wife on the tennis and squash courts. He is guardian, advocate and trustee for his mentally challenged brother.
